Situated on the picturesque Irvine Harbourside, the Harbour Arts Centre is a fully equipped arts centre, which provides a modern, vibrant programme of activities throughout the year which ranges from art classes to live music, small scale quality theatre, comedy, craft cabinets and an exhibition programme.

It has two multi-purpose studio spaces along with a welcoming and stylish bar and bistro: Duncans, a gallery, an intimate theatre and foyer area.

Getting There

The Harbour Arts Centre is situated on the picturesque Irvine Harbourside, easily accessible from Glasgow and throughout Ayrshire

From Glasgow: Follow signs for A77/Kilmarnock/Prestwick Airport then take the A71 towards Irvine. Follow the brown signs to the Harbourside and the Scottish Maritime Museum and drive to the far end of the harbour. You will see ‘The Hac’ on your right-hand side.

From Ayr: Follow the A77/A78 north, continue on to Ayr Road/A737 and continue as above.

Buses from Ayr/Ardrossan (585), Kilwinning (38), Kilmarnock/Crosshouse (21), Troon (14A) Glasgow and the Garnock Valley (X34) all have convenient stops nearby.

Trains depart from Glasow Central and Ayr every half hour. Irvine is on the main Glasgow–Ayr line. The HAC is a ten minute walk along the harbour from the railway station
There is ample free street parking immediately surrounding the venue

Access Information

The venue is a single-storey building and accessible for all. It is fully equipped for wheelchair users with 2 prime viewing areas in the auditorium (please book in advance). An induction loop is in place for hearing impaired visitors and we have accessible toilet facilities.
