The Tolbooth

Stirling

Tolbooth Stirling is a vibrant and contemporary music and arts venue located at the top of the old town in Stirling city centre. Our year round programme features music from established artists of all genres, as well as providing a platform for upcoming artists and bands to perform and grow.

In addition to our music offering, comedy, film, talks, theatre and exhibitions are regular features of our programme. We also offer a diverse range of creative learning opportunities in the form of classes and workshops for all.

All this happens in a stunning grade ‘A' listed building with several multi use meeting and performance spaces, a fully fitted professional level recording studio, and a thriving cafe bar, not to mention a history dating back to the 17th century. With a checkered past as a courthouse and jail, famously housing Baird & Hardie following the radical uprising, it’s no surprise that the venue lends itself to a fair few tales and ghost stories. This depth of history and associated mystery adds to the venues atmosphere and drama, which coupled with our intimate layout, has helped establish Tolbooth Stirling as one of the best small venues in Scotland and beyond.
