CatStrand is a multi-arts venue in New Galloway, a royal borough in the Glenkens area of Dumfries & Galloway.

A converted old school, CatStrand is a community and arts venue providing a wealth of activities and a year round arts programme. It seats 91 people at maximum capacity in a cosy auditorium and has been host to many big name international, national and regional performers – including repeat visits from Rapture Theatre.

Getting There

By road from the A713 (Castle Douglas to Ayr Road). Head West at the Ken Bridge along the A712, CatStrand is on your right in New Galloway village centre.

By bus regular bus routes into New Galloway (the 520 from Dalry, Castle Douglas,and Ayr, and the 521 from Castle Douglas and Dumfries).

By rail nearest railway stations are Ayr and Dumfries which have frequent train services from Glasgow and Carlisle.
